How to Play Co-Op
This section of the guide will help you to play Co-Op within Farming Simulator 22. Following the steps laid out below will ensure your farming journey with friends begins as seamlessly as possible. Crossplay is a new addition to this game, allowing you to play with more friends than ever before, regardless of where they're playing.
How to Play Co-Op With Friends
To begin your multiplayer journey, you'll first want to access the Multiplayer tab on the main menu.
Upon entering this menu, you'll be presented with two options: '
<meta />
Join Game' and 'Create Game'.
Join A Game In Progress
Choosing Join Game will bring up a list of currently running games that you can hop into, including those of any people on your friends list.
You can choose a variety of options to narrow your search, including Game Map specification, Password protected servers, only servers with downloaded DLC, and a toggle for crossplay, should you wish to disable it.
Create A New Server
'Create Game' has many of the same option toggles you'll find on the 'Join Game' screen. You can name the server, set a password (which is key for privacy), enabling/disabling cross-play, and an option to only allow friends into the server (seems to work specifically for the platform you yourself are playing on).
Once you've started the server, created your character, and loaded into the game, make your way to the Farm Management tab of the pause menu. From here you will have a button prompt available to invite friends to the server. You'll see the prompt in the bottom left of the UI, visible in the image below:
Get your friends to accept the invitation and now you're good to go! Enjoy all that Farming Simulator 22 has to offer together!
