It's never easy tasting defeat in the NBA. But when it comes in the form of a deflating triple-overtime matchup, there's just a little bit more oomph in taking in that L. The bitter taste was still fresh in LeBron James' mouth during the Los Angeles Lakers' postgame presser after they fell to the Sacramento Kings.

LeBron put a ton of the blame on himself as the purple and gold just didn't have enough to close out the Kings on multiple occasions.

Via Spectrum Sportsnet:

“I feel like I played a horrible game individually. I hold myself to a higher standard than that. I know I got to be better for this team, especially with everything we’re going through.”

James finished with 30 points, 11 assists, and seven rebounds which looks good on paper. But he also shot a dreadful 2-for–13 clip from three-point range to go along with seven turnovers.

“Listen, we're all disgusted at losses,” continued the Lakers star. “It is the way it is. But you also at the same time stay even-keeled throughout the whole process. We get better from the losses and get better from the wins.”

The Lakers roster is slowly starting to get healthy, but the chemistry is still eons away from where it needs to be. LeBron James knows this and that's why there's hardly any panic in his responses.

It's only been a quarter of the season thus far. But as we get further and further into the season, the expectations for the Lakers are only sure to grow.
