Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street's Curtis Delamere will lie to his fiancée Emma Brooker again in a couple of weeks time, as he pretends to be taking part in a charity challenge.

In scenes airing in early December, Curtis (Sam Retford) will announce that he is going to train for the Three Peaks Challenge in order to raise money for the late Oliver Battersby's fund.

Whilst Emma's dad Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) is touched by Curtis' generosity, Emma (Alexandra Mardell) is worried for Curtis, concerned about how he will cope with the gruelling challenge in the face of his heart condition.

Emma offers to do the challenge alongside Curtis in order to show her support, but he is adamant that he wants to take it on alone.

Later in the week, Curtis leaves for the challenge, but instead he meets up with a charity worker to give a talk about his condition at the golf club.

It seems that Curtis clearly has no intention of doing the Three Peaks Challenge, but what exactly is he up to?

This won't be the first time that Curtis has lied to Emma, as he also fails to be honest about their wedding plans next week.

After telling Emma that he has no family or close friends to invite to the ceremony, Emma decides to secretly invite his family to the wedding anyway as a surprise.

When Curtis' father Neville (Mark Cameron) introduces himself, Emma is shocked as Curtis had previously told her that his dad is dead.

Curtis covers by claiming that Neville is actually his stepdad and Neville goes along with the lie, although he's clearly hurt to learn that Curtis has told Emma that he's dead.

With the wedding fast approaching, is it only a matter of time before Emma discovers the truth?

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, December 6 and Friday, December 10 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
