Ski enthusiasts from Dallas and across the globe come to Steamboat Springs, Colorado, to experience its world-famous Champagne Powder. Some of those skiers are even choosing to stay.

“As the saying goes, folks come for the winter and stay for the summer,” says Suzanne Schlicht, longtime Steamboat resident and Director of Sales at Alpine Mountain Ranch & Club.

Two opportunities to stay are currently under construction at Alpine Mountain Ranch & Club, a 1,216-acre land preservation community located in the South Valley of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Bordered by the Steamboat Ski Resort, Catamount Golf Club, and the national forest, the ranch features 63, five-acre homesites and 900 acres dedicated to a wildlife preserve and open space only five minutes from town and the ski area.

The Trilogy home sits on lot #17 at Alpine Mountain Ranch & Club. This 5-acre homesite is on the coveted South Valley Ridge that overlooks beautiful, rolling hay meadows, Aspen groves, and the neighboring Steamboat Ski Resort. Trilogy offers five bedrooms and seven bathrooms spread across 5,200 square feet of living space and slated to be completed in April 2022. As of this writing, the list price is $5,695,000.

Another home for sale at the Ranch is Meadowlark, which sits across the Ranch’s preserve from Trilogy.

Meadowlark has five bedrooms and six bathrooms and offers 5,680 square feet of stunning mountain-transitional architecture. This home sits on lot #44, an elevated site that makes the most of the Ranch’s spectacular views. Inside the home, open spaces throughout the two-level design provide endless opportunities for gathering. Meadowlark is scheduled to completed in March 2022. As of this writing, the list price is $6,195,000.

An amenity at Alpine Mountain Ranch & Club that makes it even more enticing to stay is the Ranch owners’ exclusive option to join Alpine Mountain Summit Club, a private social club, just steps from the ski resort’s recently updated gondola.

“Alpine Mountain Summit Club is located within One Steamboat Place,” Schlicht says, “It offers valet parking, private ski lockers, boot-warmers, ski storage, daily après ski, and more. And it’s just steps from the ski slopes.”

Historically, membership to the Summit Club was only open to condo owners at One Steamboat Place, however, in 2018, Alpine Mountain Ranch took ownership of the club, and now offers ranch owners the exclusive option to join this slopeside club.

Back at the Ranch, there are plenty of wintertime activities that add to the Steamboat experience.

The Ranch’s rolling pastures, which serve as home to livestock in the summer, transform into 220 acres of snowy wonderland as winter sets in, with three miles of groomed trails for cross country skiing or snowshoeing, as well as a hill for sledding.

Steamboat Ski Resort recently opened for the season Nov. 27 with its new gondola that’s more than 30-percent faster than in the past, significantly reducing base area wait times.

As they say, come for the winter and you just might choose to stay for the summer!
