The end of the year is just around the corner. This means it’s time to renew annual memberships for current youth members of the Boys & Girls Club of Watertown and a time to recruit new members.

With all youth memberships at the main club site expiring on Dec. 31, we will offer the month of December for families to try the club for free without paying the $25 membership fee.

With the free month promotion, all non-registered youth members from grades one through 12 can visit the club anytime in December at no cost. They can participate in all of the daily activities and programs, mentoring opportunities, meals and snacks and, of course, fun! The program areas include the games room, art room, gym, education center and teen center. Each area has a daily program that enriches opportunities to play, learn and grow.

Providing a free month in December has been successful in the past, and we are thankful for the generous partnership with the Watertown Optimist Club, which sponsors this event.

The free month is intended to recruit new members and allow current members to bring a friend or a sibling who is not a current member. It’s a great opportunity for youth to check us out, tour the facility, meet the staff and gain an understanding of all the services the club provides.

We hope by providing this resource to our community members that we can make this holiday season just a little bit easier.

For more information, call the club at 605-886-6666 or visit our Facebook page by searching Boys & Girls Club of Watertown, SD.

The club will be open during Christmas break following the Watertown School District schedule. We will be open Dec. 27 through Dec. 30th from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. We will be closed on Dec. 24, 25 and 31.
