Reliable New Cars

Earlier we reported on vehicles that were rated most likely to need repairs the first 12 months after buying, but today we are taking a look at some popular new midsized sedan that CR analysts recently reported that performed well in their tests and are guaranteed not to leave your stranded.

According to Consumer Reports:

Most midsized sedans deliver an excellent combination of passenger space, cargo room, and fuel economy at attractive prices. An increasing number also come with all-wheel drive for rough weather, making them an even more compelling alternative to an SUV.

Unfortunately, however, a significant number of midsized sedans aren’t very reliable---according to CR’s exclusive survey data that has information covering more over 300,000 vehicles.

As such, CR analysts saw the need to help consumers make smart shopping decisions for a new sedan by compiling a new list of what they found to be the most reliable new midsized sedans that are available to buy today.

On top of their reliability standards, these models include those that come standard with key active safety equipment including forward collision warning (FCW) and automatic emergency braking (AEB), with special notes made if the popular blind spot warning (BSW) feature is standard or optional on these models.
