The Blackhawks rallied to beat the St. Louis Blues 3-2 in overtime at the United Center on Friday.

2. The Blackhawks gave up 16 shots on goal and three high-danger chances in the first period, according to Natural Stat Trick. They allowed only eight shots on goal and zero high-danger chances in the next two periods combined.
3. Jonathan Toews thought he scored his first goal of the season, but it got overturned after Patrick Kane was ruled offside on the Blues' challenge. The frustration boiled over later in the game for Toews, who hasn't scored in 20 straight.
4. Jujhar Khaira had himself a day. He scored his second goal of the season, registered a season-high five shot attempts and three shots on goal, and three hits in 12:35 of ice time. He also won four of seven faceoffs.
5. The Blackhawks' power-play struggles continued after a 0-for-3 outing. They generated three shots on goal and three scoring chances on their first opportunity but had zero shots on goal in their next two.
6. The Blues allow the fourth-most 5-on-5 high-danger chances per 60 minutes at 12.2. The Blackhawks generated only three, the same amount as St. Louis. There weren't many high-quality chances for either team.
7. Brandon Hagel extended his goal streak to three games and it came at a perfect time. He redirected a Seth Jones shot from the point to even up the score at 2-2 with 5:04 left in the third period.
8. The Blues had nine scoring chances off the rush, according to Sportlogiq. Their season average per game is 7.1, which ranks No. 4. The Blackhawks' season average in rush chances against per game is 6.3.
9. The Blackhawks started Kevin Lankinen because interim head coach Derek King wants to keep him "engaged." He gave up a goal on the very first shot he faced, then stopped 24 of the next 25 shots. He finished with a save percentage of .920.
10. Adam Gaudette, who was a healthy scratch for the sixth straight contest, was placed on waivers before the game. The Blackhawks are expected to assign him to Rockford if he doesn't clear in the next 24 hours.
