Hollyoaks has revealed that Theresa McQueen will become embroiled in the ongoing Ali Shahzad storyline next month.

Theresa (Jorgie Porter) comes up with a risky plan against Ali as he continues to evade justice for his past crimes.

Misbah Maalik (Harvey Virdi) recently reported Ali to the police for raping her when they were at university 30 years ago.

Sadly, her case against Ali (Raji James) will be jeopardised in upcoming episodes when it's revealed that key evidence against him was forged by Shaq Qureshi and Verity Hutchinson.

Shaq and Verity had decided that it was necessary to intervene as the legal system is geared towards men, but their efforts seem likely to backfire badly.

In early December, Ali continues to keep the upper hand after being attacked by a member of the Maalik family.

Ali demands justice and wastes little time before naming his attacker to the police.

The anticipation of an imminent arrest divides the Maalik family as they question each other's innocence. Will all be revealed when the police show up with an arrest warrant?
