Baker Heights Church of Christ, 5382 Texas Ave.

Services: 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday worship. Bible classes 9 a.m. Sunday and 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Short devotional 7:15 p.m. Wednesday.

Topic: (a.m.) "Because He lives ..."; (p.m.) "Winning the battle yet losing the war?"

Synopsis: (a.m.) Hebrews 10:19-25. For many, the word “worship” implies sitting in a pew on a Sunday morning. It implies singing, prayer, sharing the Lord’s supper together, and maybe listening to the word. The Hebrew writer wants us to know that because of what Christ has done for us as our eternal high priest, worship has been taken to a new level. It has been taken to a level that is far beyond the confines of a building, or a time. (p.m.) Judges 8:22-27.

Clearfork Baptist Church, 14116 Highway 277, Hawley

Services: 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sunday; and 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Also available online via Facebook

Speaker: Bro. Dan Carpenter

Topic: "Advent I: The Prophecy of the Birth of Christ"

Synopsis: Isaiah 7:14; 9:1-7. There are many important events in human history, but none can hold a candle to the importance of the day God robed himself in the garments of humanity, and made His entrance into the world He had created by way of a virgin girl named Mary in a cattle stall in the city of Bethlehem.

North Fifth and Grape Street Church of Christ, 433 Grape St.

Services: 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday. Bible classes 9 a.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Speaker: (a.m.) Charles Ivie, (p.m.) Kris Sutton

Topic: (a.m.) "God's Religion is Very Much Alive" (p.m.) "What Is Your Place In The Church?"

Synopsis: (a.m.) Jesus had John write to the church at Sardis to tell them that while they had a name  that was alive, they were dead (Revelation 3:1). Adam and Eve became spiritually dead when they ate the forbidden fruit, but God has provided a way for us to be alive. All divine provisions are full of vitality because we have a living God, a living word, a living Christ, a living Spirit, a living faith, and a living hope. If we are dead it is our fault, not God's. (p.m.) Galatians 5:13.

Oldham Lane Church of Christ, 5049 Oldham Lane

Services: 8:15 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday. Bible class 9:30 a.m. Sunday. Bible study 7 p.m. Wednesday. Life in the Light television program 10 a.m. every Sunday on KTAB. Livestreaming 10:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. services at olcoc.com/live.

Topic: "7Ups for a Better Life — Lift Up!"

Synopsis: The Bible is filled with individuals who were overwhelmed by pain, whether physical or emotional or both. For example, the psalms paint a portrait of a man who is struggling emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually. What you will also notice as you survey these various individuals is that, in their torment, they look up. They find their focus. They shift their eyes from the pain and look to God and the prize.

Wylie Baptist Church, 6097 Buffalo Gap Road

Services: 8 and 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday; also available online via Facebook Live

Speaker: Pastor Mike Harkrider

Topic: "Hope for Today and the Future - Godly Marriage Relationships"

Synopsis: 1 Peter 3:1-7. In today’s society, marriage is almost considered disposable and not highly rated. That is exactly what the enemy wants; the opposite of God’s desire for this relationship to reflect Himself. In a Christian marriage, the husband and wife should have a spirit of submission and commitment to each other and to God.
