Gravity Hammer
Another classic weapon in the series, the Gravity Hammer is a destructive gear in Halo Infinite’s Multiplayer. It’s a Power Weapon that can be deadly in close-range battles, knocking down enemies with one or two blows. Check out IGN’s guide to know more about its features and how to use it.
Gravity Hammer Weapon Details
- Type: Hammer.
- Ammo Type: Electromagnetic Energy.
- Energy: 100%
- Secondary Shot? No.
- Can Zoom? No.
Following the tradition since Halo 2, this big hammer arrives in a visually updated version in Halo Infinite. However, its core gameplay mechanic remains untouched: smash everything and everyone near you!
When pressing the attack button, you’ll swing your hammer to the ground. This will produce damage in the area around you, affecting vehicles and enemies. If you are too close to an opponent, you’ll be able to defeat them with only one blow. If not, two hits will be enough to do the job. Whatsmore, you can kill multiple enemies as long as they are in range.
The Gravity Hammer is a Power Weapon. These are the most powerful weapons in Halo Infinite’s online. On the other hand, Power Weapons only spawn in selected Weapon Dispensers, located in specific zones of the map. Check your HUD and listen to your AI to know when one is about to spawn.
Gravity Hammer Weapon Tips
- The Gravity Hammer is a slow weapon. After pressing the fire button, it takes around three seconds to perform the complete move. Try to swing the hammer as soon as possible to avoid receiving damage from your enemies.
- Related to the previous point, it’s not the best option against someone using an Energy Sword. The sword is a much faster weapon and it will always win as long as the other player is a skilled one.
- Each blow will consume 10 points of energy. It doesn’t matter if you hit enemies or not, so use it carefully.
- Similar to the Energy Sword, you’re exposed while using this weapon. Enemies standing at medium and large distances can kill you before you even press the attack button. It’s a great tool for the smaller maps, like Recharge.
- Contrary to the sword, you won't use its full power when grabbing someone with the Grappleshot. The melee attack will be a normal one.
