Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Hope you all had a great holiday and are excited to watch the OKC Thunder tonight as they get back into action.

Lately, the wins aren’t as plentiful but this young squad sure is entertaining. They compete in every game regardless of the opponent, growing and developing in front of our eyes.

OKC Thunder host Cinderella East – Wizards: Preview

One team that began this season on fire and potentially overachieving is the Washington Wizards. In the offseason, Wizards GM Tommy Sheppard responded to Russell Westbrook’s request to be sent to the Lakers, and that one move shored up his team’s depth.

In the return package for Westbrook, Sheppard garnered a haul including Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and Montrezl Harrell from the Lakers. In addition, Spencer Dinwiddie was sent from Brooklyn plus Aaron Holiday and the draft rights to Isaiah Todd were sent from the Pacers.

Quite a haul for Westbrook and much of the Wizards’ early success can be tied back directly to the players who arrived as part of the deal. Scan the Wizards leaderboard and virtually every category finds Beal and the new members gained via the Westbrook trade.

As good as they’ve been to start the season a recent skid has others wondering if maybe teams have figured them out. They’ve lost four of their last five matches and arrive in OKC looking to get back on track.
