South's Angelo LaRose rushes to top of state record books
South High junior Angelo LaRose capped off a brilliant season with a 189-yard effort in a 50-16 win over North High - a mark that gave him 2,905 yards on the season to break the single-season state rushing record.
Shrewsbury upends Wachusett to claim share of Mid-Wach A title
Shrewsbury got a boost with the return of senior A.J. Hamm from an injury and that sparked the Colonials to make some big plays to notch a 14-13 win over Wachusett that gave Shrewsbury a share of the Mid-Wach A crown.

Northbridge used a late score in the first half to get on track and post a 28-14 win over Uxbridge. Collin Falconer ran for two touchdowns, and Ryan Boyce ran for one and passed for another, to Rory Schofer, to pace the Northbridge offense.
St. John's falls to Everett
St. John's was tested every week this season since the Pioneers moved to the Catholic Conference, and its new Thanksgiving rivalry was no different as St. John's fell, 44-14, at Everett.

Oxford put the finishing touches on a season where the Pirates reached the state semifinals with a 41-14 win over Bay Path. Oxford clinched its first nine-win season since 1999.

Marlborough used a strong running attack to hold off a very good Hudson team, as the Panthers edged the Hawks, 14-7.

Tantasqua ends season on a high note
It was a frustrating season for Tantasqua, but the Warriors never gave up and it paid off with their season win of the year, as unior running back Abner Colon-Martinez rushed for 89 yards and two touchdowns, senior captain Aidan Filler ran for 110 yards on five carries, and senior quarterback Caleb Thompson was effective running and passing to help the Warriors to a 20-16 win over rival Shepherd Hill on Thanksgiving Eve.
Brendan Burke sends Quaboag past Ware
Brendan Burke earned MVP honors, rushing 21 times for 137 yards and two touchdowns, while also making 16 tackles as the host Cougars wrapped up a 9-2 season with a 22-7 win over Ware.

Ashton Dupras returned an interception 50 yards for a score in the second quarterm while, Jacob Corrente and Noah Ostrowski each rushed for scores as the Sammies topped the visiting Chargers, 23-13.

In a battle of rebuilding programs, Southbridge's Jonathan Miranda had 29 carries for 167 yards to as the visiting Pioneers surged late to top the Indians, 28-12.
