“Last week, we got a report that a buck had fallen into a newly laid foundation of an apartment development in Westwood, MA.

The 2.5-year-old buck injured his hind legs attempting to jump out, but had not broken them. Martin Feehan, our Deer & Moose Project Leader, arrived on scene and safely immobilized the buck.

Using a large animal harness and the assistance of the construction crew, the buck was hoisted out of the construction site. He was transported to a Wildlife Management Area and released with ear tags for identification.”
