Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale star Paige Sandhu won 'Best Villain' at the Inside Soap Awards this week for her portrayal of serial killer Meena Jutla. Now, she's teased what's next for her evil character.
Meena had a big week, with Thursday's hour-long episode (November 25) culminating in another victim for the killer, as she silenced Ben Tucker (Simon Lennon) so he couldn't tell anyone she'd attempted to drown Victoria Barton (Isabel Hodgins).
But according to Paige, there's even more to come this year.
"Meena has a very intense Christmas," she teased, speaking to Inside Soap. "It's definitely going to get wilder.

"The scripts I've read are 10 times crazier than I could ever have imagined. I do think Meena would kill anyone and have no qualms about it. She'd kill anyone who gets in her way, but it remains to be seen who she will go after next!
"Every time I open my new script, I'm like, 'She does WHAT?'" she added. "The writing team always shock me with what they have in store next."
Ben was Meena's third victim – after Leanna and Andrea – but the soap always maintains the sinister possibility she will strike again. Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) has recently been on the receiving end of Meena's wrath, with the pair rowing over the affections of Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle).

Paige said that in upcoming scenes, "Meena goes so far beyond what even she thought she was capable of".
The Emmerdale cast brought home two prizes from the Inside Soap Awards – Best Villain for Meena, and Best Family for the Dingles.

"I'm glad the audience approve of her wickedness, and she's taken the crown," Paige said of her win. "Playing a villain is so much fun, and Meena's so unpredictable – I love it! I don't mind being called 'Best Villain' because, to be fair, Meena is awful!"
Paige said she found the process of portraying a "psychopath" to be "very playful", adding that she'd grown in confidence as she's gotten to know the character over the past year.
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
