Motorcyclist survives crash only to be struck and killed by vehicle moments later

TULSA, Okla. — Around 10:30 p.m. Thursday night a motorcycle slammed into the back of a truck on East 41st Street, near South Garnett in East Tulsa.

The collision caused the rider to be launched off his bike. The Rider was able to struggle to his feet, but seemed dazed and disorientated.

The rider then wandered into West bound traffic on East 41st Street, where he was struck again by a vehicle.

“He was pronounced dead on the scene,” said Lt. Arnold of the Tulsa Police Department.

Investigators say that the rider had a backpack filled with beer, but it is unknown if he had been drinking prior to the crash.

According to TPD, the rider’s ID has not been released.
