The Suns and Knicks will play on Friday as the Suns will look for their 15th straight win. New York has won three of five after struggling a bit of late. Why The Suns Can Cover The Spread

On their current 14-game win streak, the Suns are +10.9 points per 100 possessions, a number that is second only to the Golden State Warriors over the same period. Phoenix is 7-1 on the road this season, and they have the fourth best net rating on the road in the NBA this season. Chris Paul is leading the NBA in assists per game (10.4) by a comfortable margin, and Booker plays his role as lead assassin. Deandre Ayton will be a lot for the Knicks to deal with inside, especially if a banged up Mitchell Robinson is unable to go.

The Suns have had their fair share of close games this season, as they are just 9-9 against the spread despite their 15-3 record. Phoenix should have a good chance to cover a relatively low number in New York on Friday vs. a Knicks team that they have head and shoulders been better than so far this season.

The Knicks are home favorites, so that always has some appeal. New York is just 5-5 in Madison Square Garden so far in this young season, however. The Knicks will look to avoid falling under .500 at home on Friday. Julius Randle has been their nucleus again this season but he has a wingman in Kemba Walker. Derrick Rose has been banged up a bit of late, which has been a blow to the second unit in terms of scoring. New York could be in good position as the home team in this spot, but it's really hard to fade the Suns right now.

The Knicks are 8-10 against the spread this season, and they will face an uphill battle to cover and win vs. a healthy and rested Suns group on Friday. New York has been essentially an average team this season in terms of net rating, while the Suns have been closer to a juggernaut of late.

Final Suns-Knicks Prediction & Pick

Take the Suns to win and cover the spread in the Garden on Friday night. The Knicks will be outmatched in the backcourt, as well as around the basket. They will need a massive game from Julius Randle to win this one. The Suns have the third best defensive rating in the NBA, and usually keep the lead option in check. Look for the Suns to take care of business in the Big Apple on Friday evening.
