Lazer Z1 MIPS: $219.99 $157.49 at Backcountry (save $62.50) The Lazer Z1 is a classic and has been through a few iterations now. When we reviewed it we compared it to a fine wine, getting better with age. Maybe we were a few glasses in when we wrote that, but the fact is the Z1 has been worn to multiple pro wins and is an incredibly good all-rounder - and now at an incredibly good price.

The Evade II has been wind tunnel tested to save 50 seconds over 40km compared to a standard road helmet. It's fast - but are you fast enough to catch one at this price before they sell out?

Kask Protone: $299.95 $224.96 at Backcountry (save $74.99) When we reviewed the Protone at the end of 2020 we gave it 4/5 and said this: "It's expensive, but it is comfortable and impressively light. The ventilation may not be on par with a fully vented option, but this a very good helmet and a great hybrid for those looking for a semi-aero option." Not expensive any more.

Bolle The One: $180 $125.99 at Jenson (save $54.01) Super saving on a super versatile lid that allows you to convert easily between a conventional vented helmet, an aero helmet and an mtb helmet, using clip-in inserts. It's really clever stuff, and if you're as smart you'll get one at over $50 or one-third off the RRP while stock lasts.

This a pro-level helmet that's super ventilated and super light, and also extremely comfortable thanks to Kask's Octo Fit retention system. At over $60 off the full price it will be much more comfortable on the wallet too.

There aren't many left at this price and sizes are getting limited, so hurry to avoid disappointment as the saying goes!

HJC Furion: £180 £69.99 at Wiggle (save £110.01) Massive savings on the pro-level aero lid from HJC, as used by Lotto Soudal. We gave it 4/5 when we reviewed it. It's very lightweight, very aerodynamic and very comfortable with Korean motorcycle helmet specialist's 3D fit. Reinforcement structure for protection is also good too, as you'd expect. Colour options and sizes are getting limited at this price.

Met Trenta: £200 £99 at Sigma Sports (save £101) The Trenta is a pro-level helmet developed to celebrate the Italian brand's 30th anniversary (hence 'trenta'). This discount amounts to a lot more than that, and is worth of celebration itself. As with all the best Cyber Monday deals, sizes and options are disappearing fast.

Oakley ARO3 Helmet: £153 £66 at Wiggle Save 56% Oakley's answer to the lightweight helmet is the AR03. Coming in just white or black it is beautifully simple. Boa FS1-1 360-degree fit system as well as MIPS brain protection system makes it a very safe helmet.

Specialized S-Works Evade II ANGI MIPS: £250 £199.99 at Tredz Save 20% Specialized top of the range aero helmet. Worthy of the S-Works naming, the Evade II is made to cut through the air as smoothly as possible. But, there's more! Even with a mostly closed casing, this helmet provides plenty ventilation and is very light so it can be used anywhere.

Bell Z20 Aero MIPS: £210 £120 at Sigma Sport Save 43% Can you think of any other helmet that looks quite as spectacular as the Z20? The one in the picture gives a burst of colour to the grey but you can go full stealth with an all black shell or maybe and all white one. These helmets scream aero from the hills and are a brilliant buy and this price.

Bontrager XXX WaveCel: £199.99 £139 at Evans Cycles Save £59.99 These helmets are all about safety and, to be honest, looking quite funky. You have a choice of bright red or bright yellow. But the safety aspect is unmatched, this has Bontrager's own WaveCel protection which, according to them is 48x more effective than standard foam helmets in preventing concussions caused by common cycling accidents.

Giro Synthe MIPS Helmet: £209.99 £104.99 at ChainReactionCycles Save up to 50% Aerodynamic, safe, cooling and one of the cooler looking designs out there, the Synthe is a fine buy and with this mighty Black Friday discount you should think long and hard about taking up.
