Panthers Week 12 Predictions

4. Panthers defense shuts down the Dolphins

Tua Tagovailoa has played rather well this year, despite the fact he has a horrible offense built around him. The wide receiver core is mediocre at best and the offensive line has been putrid this season. Additionally, the run game isn't anything to get excited about, making this a prime matchup for the Panthers' defense.

Look for Carolina to get aggressive in the pass rush. They have a solid front seven that can take advantage of Miami's weak offensive line. Pressuring Tagovailoa will force him to make bad passes, allowing the Panthers' secondary to potentially create some turnovers.

3. DJ Moore reels in 100+ receiving yards and 2 touchdowns

The Dolphins have a solid secondary, but it might not be enough. DJ Moore is a superstar in the making and has the ability to take control of the game. He should be the top receiving option for the Panthers in this one, giving Carolina a huge advantage on the offense.

2. Christian McCaffrey goes off for 230 all-purpose yards and 2 touchdowns

Christian McCaffrey is one of the best players with the ball in his hands. The Panthers must find a way to feed him the rock more often than not. Whether it's in the run game, or he gets involved with the passing attack, it doesn't matter. Look for McCaffrey to provide the extra spark Carolina needs to take advantage of this poor Dolphins defense.

1. Cam Newton leads Carolina to a big win over Miami

Cam Newton showed up and lit a fire under the Panthers' franchise. He's aiming to earn his first win as Carolina's starting quarterback this year and should be able to achieve that against the Dolphins.

Matt Rhule seems to allow Newton to play to his strengths, which is exactly what Cam Newton needs. He plays as a serviceable quarterback for the Panthers while providing an extra threat in the run game. Look for the Dolphins defense to blitz often, as that was their strategy for Lamar Jackson. However, if Carolina game plans accordingly, Miami will have no chance on Sunday.
