New Movies and Shows to Stream This Weekend: A Castle for Christmas, Hawkeye and How To… with John Wilson Season 2

To be quite honest, the major drop of the week happened this past Wednesday — but isn’t the Wednesday before Thanksgiving a type of Friday as well? But there are still a bunch of stream-worthy titles new to the platforms this weekend! Netflix is kicking off the holiday movie season with its first new Christmas romance, A Castle for Christmas. On HBO Max, documentarian John Wilson is teaching us how to do more the little stuff with a new season of his comedy docuseries, How To…with John Wilson. And while it came out this past Wednesday, we still have to celebrate the fact that Hawkeye is new on Disney+! After watching the first two episodes of this Avengers-filled series, you might want to add “bow and arrow” to your holiday shopping list. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year, and these are just some of the great options new on streaming this weekend. So, break out the hot chocolate and check out the rest of the hit titles new on streaming this weekend below:

New on Netflix November 26: A Castle for Christmas

Hollywood legends Brooke Shields (The Blue Lagoon) and Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride) star in A Castle for Christmas, the first sappy holiday-themed movie new on Netlfix this weekend, and the season! When a bestselling author (Shields) faces a career-ending scandal at home, she escapes to Scotland where she falls in love with a historic castle. But she will have to face off against the grumpy duke (Elwes) who owns it if she wants to stay there — forever. Deck the halls with boughs of cheesy Christmas romance, because A Castle for Christmas marks the launch of the Hallmark-esque holiday streaming season!

New on Disney+ November 24: Hawkeye 2-Episode Premiere

It’s finally here!! After a torturous period of anticipation, the MCU original series Hawkeye is new on Disney+ this weekend. The show kicks off this Wednesday with the first two episodes as it follows Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye as he tries to make up for lost time with his family. But when he hears news that his former identity as the vigilante Ronan is back on the streets, he meets and teams up with Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) — allegedly the “world’s greatest archer” — to battle demons from his former life. Will Hawkeye finally tie up his loose ends and get home in time for Christmas? Also featuring appearances from Vera Farmiga, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy James and Florence Pugh as Yelena, Hawkeye is going to be a bullseye of a show this season.
