Man turns himself in days after Munhall shooting

MUNHALL — A Munhall man, wanted on attempted homicide charges, turned himself in on Tuesday.

Darnell Pearson, 53, was wanted on charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, burglary, recklessly endangering another person and being a person not permitted to possess a firearm, following an incident in the 20 block of Scotia Way just before 11 p.m. on Nov. 26.

Munhall police said Pearson illegally entered the home and shot the 33-year-old male victim, who was visiting the resident of the home.

A 10-year-old child was also present in the home.

The man was transported to an area hospital in critical condition, with a gunshot wound to the chest.
