Editor's note: We corrected a price for the assorted bomb box at Adonna's Garden Street Café and Bakery to $48.

What started as a viral Tik-Tok video now has bakeries throughout Pensacola preparing thousands of hot cocoa bombs as they jump on the popular trend this holiday season.

Since Boise State graduate Eric Torres-Garcia published the viral video, the invention has exploded online, prompting bakers to quickly master how to craft the perfect sphere of molded chocolate filled with powdered hot chocolate mix.

Even Dunkin’ Donuts hopped on the trend, announcing this month it would be rolling out hot chocolate bombs at retail locations nationwide this holiday season in classic and mint chocolate flavors.

If you haven't experienced one yet or are looking for good Christmas gift, here are seven local bakeries where you can buy these creations.

Adonna's Garden Street Café and Bakery

After selling thousands of hot chocolate bombs last year, the bakery is stocked up and ready to go this holiday season with not only individual sales, but gift sets decorated to give to your loved ones. Though there are some in the case each day, the best way to guarantee a set is to preorder.

Boxed Grinch hot cocoa bomb sets are available to order at Adonna's Garden Street Cafe for the holidays at 811 W. Garden St.

Here are some of the options to choose from:

  • Individual hot chocolate bombs: A regular hot chocolate bomb can be taken to-go to be prepared at home for $6.50, or can be served in-person for $8 with a teapot for an immersive experience.
  • Hot chocolate buddy bombs: These dunkers come in at $4 each, with a straw attached for stirring.
  • Christmas bomb box: The Christmas set comes with four different Christmas characters to swim in your glass of hot liquid, including the Grinch, a snowman, a reindeer and Santa. The set makes four glasses of hot chocolate for $25.
  • Assorted bomb box: This supreme package takes the concept to the next level with 12 different flavors: Reese's, pumpkin spice, chocolate covered strawberry, Andes, cotton candy, snickerdoodle, salted caramel, French vanilla, death by chocolate, Oreo, butter beer and caramel apple pie.
