First Alert Forecast: Few small hiccups this week & a 50° temperature

I am NOT expecting any road issues as we head back to work and school Monday morning. Watching another quick clipper system moving through Michiana after 1 PM Monday. This quick system will bring another chance of very light rain/snow showers to the area (mainly along and north of U.S. 6).

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - SUNDAY NIGHT: Flurries to light snow showers will come to an end Sunday evening. I am NOT expecting any road issues as we head back to work and school Monday morning. Clouds and wind will gradually diminish. Lows in the mid to upper 20s. Wind WSW: 5-10 mph.

MONDAY: Clouds will continue to build back in throughout the early morning hours. Watching another quick clipper system moving through Michiana after 1 PM Monday. This quick system will bring another chance of very light rain/snow showers to the area (mainly along and north of U.S. 6) along with a few slick roads Monday late afternoon & evening. Up to a dusting of snow is possible in spots. Highs in the upper 30s. Wind: SSW 5-15 mph increasing to 15-25 mph late in the day.

TUESDAY: Sun & clouds with a very small chance of a passing sprinkle with our wind out of the WNW 10-20 mph. Highs will climb back up into the lower to middle 40s.

LONG RANGE: Our jet stream (atmospheric river) heads almost right over Michiana Wednesday through next weekend. This will allow for small shower chances late Wednesday through next weekend. Watching another quick system Wednesday. This will bring another chance of very light rain and snow showers to the area along with the breeze. Temperatures really rebound Thursday with highs nearing 50 degrees. We are watching a system next Sunday that could bring a wintry mix of rain and snow to the area.
