How is the real estate market in Brighton? Plus, 21 recent home sales

The real estate market in the town of Brighton remains strong, according to the latest weekly data reported by the Greater Rochester Association of Realtors.

There have been 345 homes sold in Brighton this year through the week ending Nov. 5. That's roughly the same pace as last year when 351 sales had been completed by this point in the year.

The median sales price in Brighton during 2021 is $250,000, up 8% from the same point last year. It was $228,000 in 2020 and $195,000 in 2019.

Sales volumes remain high across Monroe County, with 7,414 homes sold so far this year, an increase of 7% compared to the same time last year. 

Median sales prices also continue to rise. Countywide, the median sales price in 2021 is $193,000, up 13.5% compared to the same time last year.
