Man hit by car after rollover crash in south Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 43-year-old man was hospitalized Thursday with serious injuries after being hit by a car in south Columbia after being involved in a separate crash beforehand.

According to a press release from the Columbia Police Department, the man was driving in the 2000 block of Old Highway 63 when his vehicle was involved in a rollover crash. The car went off the road and into a ditch.

The man walked back to the road and was then hit by a 2019 Toyota Corolla driven by Atosha Kisabo, 24, of Columbia.

The pedestrian was taken to University Hospital with serious injuries. Police said they will not identify the man until his family is notified. Kisabo was not injured.
