Retailers working to overcome supply chain crisis ahead of holidays

WASHINGTON (SBG)- Retailers are rallying to overcome the global supply chain crisis, making a significant number of pre-orders and over-ordering to ease shortages.

But port problems and high demand are threatening the availability of some popular purchases.
Items like toys, clothing, bikes, and even bourbon are all harder to find this holiday season. The Wall Street Journal reports that demand for the liquor surged during the pandemic and since it takes years to make, some brands are now harder to find.

And one of the hottest toys this season--a "Purrfect Dollhouse Playset." It sells in stores for $60, but online sellers are charging more than double at $160 or more after several major retailers ran out.
