It's possible that when many people saw that Denzel Washington would be starring in an Apple TV+ adaptation The Tragedy of Macbeth, a few eyebrows were raised. But a trailer and a new teaser suggest that the streaming service could be onto a winner when the movie reaches cinemas on December 25 and streams on January 14, 2022.
The new teaser isn't a long one but it does give us another look at superstar Denzel Washington in character. It's well worth checking out if you're at all interestred in what is an intriguing project.
Academy Award winners Denzel Washington and Frances McDormand star in Joel Coen's bold adaptation of a timeless tale of murder, madness, and wrathful cunning. The Tragedy of Macbeth coming to theaters December 25. Streaming on Apple TV+ January 14.
The full trailer gives us a better look at what we should expect, although it still has less than a minute of footage for us to get our teeth into.
The cast of "The Tragedy of Macbeth" also includes Bertie Carvel, Alex Hassell, Corey Hawkins, Kathryn Hunter, Harry Melling and Brendan Gleeson. The film reunites frequent Coen collaborators including Bruno Delbonnel as the cinematographer, Mary Zophres as costume designer and a score from Carter Burwell. In addition to directing, Coen produces the film alongside McDormand and Robert Graf. The film is an A24 and IAC production.
