Dog the Bounty Hunter Sends Thanksgiving Message to Fans: ‘Love You All’
Like many others, Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman is celebrating Thanksgiving. And the reality star has a lot to be thankful for. For one, the bounty hunter turned reality star married his fiancee Francie Frane a few months back.
But Chapman is especially thankful for all the fans and followers that have supported his endeavors and various TV shows over the years. On Twitter, Chapman wrote, “Happy Thanksgiving! Love you all!”
It’s unclear exactly how Chapman is spending the holiday. With 12 children in total, there’s plenty of family for Chapman to celebrate the holiday with. But things sadly haven’t always been rosy when it came to his family life. Chapman lost his daughter Zebadiah when she was just a baby. Later in life, Chapman’s daughter Barbara sadly died in a car wreck in 2006. Additionally, Chapman has been publically on the outs with his daughter Bonnie and son Tucker.
But he appears to be close with both his son Leland Chapman and his daughter Lyssa though. Both have followed him into the family business. Leland worked for the family Da Kine Bail Bonds business before opening his own Kama’aina Bail Bonds agency.
Previously, Duane Chapman confessed to wanting to put his hair back so to speak. He wanted to relax with his new bride and spend time on their honeymoon. “I asked her before we got married, where would you like to go? And she said ‘To Florida to put my feet in the sand, and my ocean,'” Chapman said.
Dog the Bounty Hunter on Brian Laundrie
In recent months, Dog the Bounty Hunter entertained headlines once again for attaching himself to the Gabby Petito case. At the time, Chapman promised to bring Petito’s boyfriend Brian Laundrie in for questioning. Laundrie was a person of interest in Petito’s disappearance and murder. But he went missing leading to a several weeks manhunt.
Chapman placed himself at the center of the media frenzy, searching several leads for the missing man. Eventually, authorities located remains later identified as belonging to Laundrie. But Chapman has cast doubt on the remains even after they were confirmed to be Laundrie.
Recently, an autopsy finding determined that Laundrie committed suicide. Chapman questioned these findings: If he’s alive he’s going to get arrested. But right now it looks like he committed suicide,” Dog said, according to The Sun. “And it’s a tragedy for both families.”
There are several unanswered questions regarding Petito, Laundrie, and their deaths. For his part, Chapman does consider his role in the case closed. He’s already setting his eyes on his next case. Chapman’s involvement drew both support and criticism from various people. But love or hate him, Chapman has maintained a media presence since his flagship show went off the air in 2012.
