Sad news for Young Sheldon Season 5 fans because the hit CBS sitcom won’t air this week.
The Iain Armitage starrer is on a week-long hiatus because of Thanksgiving, so Young Sheldon Season 5 Episode 8 will air on Thursday, Dec. 2.

What Is The Plot For Young Sheldon Season 5 Episode 8?
CBS just dropped the official synopsis for Young Sheldon Season 5 Episode 8 below:
“Sheldon battles President Hagemeyer's mysterious boss over the university's science requirements; Mary discovers that Georgie is working at Meemaw's illegal gambling room,” the synopsis reads.
Sheldon (Armitage) is not one to follow authorities’ orders if he doesn’t agree with he. Even though he’s still young, he’s quite an opinionated kid. And since he knows he’s smart, he’s never afraid to speak up his mind.
So, in Young Sheldon Season 5 Episode 8, Sheldon will inform President Hagemeyer that he doesn’t agree with some of her requirements. It’s easy to predict how the president would react because she doesn’t necessarily like Sheldon.
In fact, Sheldon’s former teachers didn’t adore him that much either because he’s too smart to the point that he sometimes oversteps his boundaries.
In Young Sheldon Season 5 Episode 7, Sheldon met his new teacher, Professor Boucher. The latter was strict so Sheldon immediately felt drawn to him.
Professor Boucher told his students that they cannot enter the room after 9 a.m. because he will keep the doors locked, and he stayed true to his word.
Since Sheldon wanted to impress Professor Boucher, he made sure to submit his assignment before everyone did. To his surprise, Professor Boucher told him that his answers were wrong and he tore his paper.
Sheldon continued to try and impress his professor by submitting more assignments, but Professor Boucher tore them every single time.
The lead character later realized the mistake that he committed in his homework so he fixed it and tried submitting it to Professor Boucher, but he was late for class and was unable to get in.
Back to Young Sheldon Season 4 Episode 8, Mary (Zoe Perry) will find out for the first time that her eldest son, Georgie (Montana Jordan) is working for his grandmother, Meemaw (Annie Potts) at an illegal gambling room.
Georgie and Meemaw decided to keep their job a secret from Mary because they know how she would react. Fans of Young Sheldon Season 5 know that Mary can sometimes be a bit too preachy, but she always has her children’s best intentions at heart.

Unfortunately, CBS has not yet released the official trailer for Young Sheldon Season 5 Episode 8.
But fans don’t need to wait any longer because the clip will most likely be available sometime this weekend or early next week.
