Driver in Waupaca County crash rescued from burning vehicle, flown to hospital

TOWN OF FARMINGTON - One person was flown to the hospital Wednesday after a crash between their vehicle and a semitrailer in the town of Farmington, the Waupaca County Sheriff's Department said in a statement.

The crash happened at the intersection of State 22 and County K.

The Sheriff's Department determined that the southbound passenger vehicle was turning left from State 22 to County K when it was struck by the northbound semitrailer. 

Witnesses pulled the driver from the passenger vehicle, which had started on fire.

That person was flown to the hospital.
