What Is The Plot For The Good Doctor Season 5 Episode 8?
ABC has not released the official synopsis for The Good Doctor Season 5 Episode 8, as well as the title for the upcoming installment.
Luckily, there’s already a 31-second trailer that can give fans an idea of what they can expect in the upcoming episode.
The clip opens with Shaun (Freddie Highmore) and Lea (Paige Spara) talking about the future of their relationship. Lea asks Shaun if their marriage will no longer push through.
In The Good Doctor Season 5 Episode 7, Shaun and Lea got into a massive fight due to the latter’s lies. But Lea insisted that she did so to protect Shaun. After all, the changes at the hospital have been causing too much stress on the lead character.
Still, during one emotional scene, Shaun put all the blame on Lea before he told her that he cannot marry her.
In the teaser Episode 8, Shaun once again tells Lea that he can’t marry her. The latter reminds Shaun that they love each other.
Even though a wedding between the two may not push through this season, we are confident that Shaun and Lea’s relationship is not over for good. After all, the couple has been through so much and one big lie can’t possibly end their relationship – or can it?
Elsewhere in the clip, Shaun is blaming himself for the death of his patient’s baby. But the truth is, Salen (Rachel Bay Jones) is the one to blame.
In the upcoming episode, Dr. Lim (Christina Chang) will do everything that she can to take down Salen.
At first, Dr. Glassman (Richard Schiff) tries to talk Dr. Lim out of taking Salen down, but she’s determined for her sake and the hospital’s sake.
In the previous episode, Dr. Lim and Salen got into an argument over the latter prescribing their patients expired medications.
The former also reminded the latter that she’s responsible for the death of the patient, but Salen couldn’t care less. In fact, Salen told Dr. Lim that she would hire a grief counselor to deal with their patient when she wakes up and finds out that her baby is gone.
Ever since Salen arrived at St. Bonaventure Hospital, she tried to change the rules of the institution, and she also got on everyone else’s nerves. So, the upcoming episode is crucial because it will determine whether or not the doctors can join forces in taking her down.
However, it is important to note that Jones is a series regular in The Good Doctor Season 5 so fans will continue to see her in the upcoming installments.
When Will The Good Doctor Season 5 Episode 8 Air?
Sad news for The Good Doctor Season 5 fans because the upcoming episode won’t air next week.
The hit ABC medical drama is on a lengthy hiatus. And when we say lengthy we mean a couple of months.
Since the Olympics is taking place in the coming months, ABC decided to postpone the second half of the series until spring.
The official return date for The Good Doctor Season 5 Episode 8 hasn’t been announced by the network. But the earliest that the show could return is in March.
