There’s no better way to celebrate Thanksgiving than to kick back and play those free games off the Epic Games Store. Aside from maybe, you know, spending time with family and all that jazz.

This week’s free games include theHunter: Call of the Wild, a hunting simulator where you can stalk all sorts of critters — including turkeys. Yes, Epic is allowing us to desecrate this ridiculous-looking bird at the dinner table and on a desktop monitor this holiday. Get it here.

The other free offering this week is the Antstream – Epic Welcome Pack. Antstream Arcade is a massive collection of retro titles like Pac-Man and Mortal Kombat that you can play for free and the Epic Welcome Pack gives you 1090 gems for the in-game store. Claim it here.

Next week’s free games are Dead By Daylight and While True: Learn(). The former is the asymmetrical multiplayer horror king where four survivor players take on Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, Ghostface and virtually every other slasher villain in existence. The latter is a cute indie title about a programmer building software that lets him speak to his cat. Simply adorable.

While True: Learn() came out in 2019 to a reasonably warm reception, sitting at 73 on Metacritic and a “Very Positive” user rating on Steam.

Dead By Daylight recently came under fire for an NFT collaboration that upset lots of fans. Behaviour Interactive went on to say there’ll never be cryptocurrency in the game itself, though. Curiously, Epic said blockchain tech is welcome on its storefront. Interesting.
