Spotify is testing a new style of music listening that resembles TikTok

Spotify is testing a new style of discovering music, which resembles the style of TikTok or Instagram Reels. Called "Discover", users can swipe through a music feed that could even include short videos. Users can also interact with them such as adding them to Liked songs or visiting the album.

Omg for the first time in how long (?), @Spotify has added a FOURTH icon to their toolbar: Discover! #NewSpotify pic.twitter.com/XQL2jpkXYq

Not only that, @Spotify Discover is basically a pared down version of a TikTok-style feed of vertical music videos (likely using their canvas format) that you can like or skip.#NewSpotify pic.twitter.com/hpOEZ8v9bl

The videos that are displayed on the feed are part of the Canvas feature that features short video clips from music videos that are shown alongside songs. Although Spotify has confirmed that it is testing the new Discover feature, it is not clear whether or not it will launch broadly.
