There is certainly no doubt that we’re excited to see the end of Droughtlander. There’s still a bit of a wait. Outlander Season 6 isn’t coming next month.

We’re still waiting for the Outlander Season 6 premiere. Even though we didn’t even expect it, we looked through the list of STARZ arrivals in December just in case there was some sort of Christmas miracle or surprise.

That’s not the case. The show definitely isn’t on the list of arrivals. Droughtlander continues.

But we knew that, right? In fact, just recently we got the confirmed premiere date, so we see a light at the end of the Droughtlander tunnel.

Outlander Season 6 premiere date

STARZ announced the exciting news that Outlander Season 6 will definitely arrive in early 2022. It’s not as early as we’d hoped for, though.

We had suspected February based on Sam Heughan’s tweets. However, STARZ has either changed the schedule a little or February was never the plan in the first place. The Outlander Season 6 premiere is going to air on Sunday, March 6.

This does mean a little longer to wait for Droughtlander to end. However, it will mean the next Droughtlander is a little shorter. During NYCC, Maril Davis suggested that the premiere for Season 7 could be in late 2022 or early 2023. This certainly surprised us, and we’d love for the show to be able to stick to that plan. However, it’s looking like Season 7 won’t start filming until January 2022. That’s going to be a fast turnaround unless STARZ opts for splitting the season in half.

But that’s a way off just yet. Our focus is on the sixth season, which we will definitely get in March 2022. That does suggest an end of April or start of May season finale date.
