NASCAR Next Gen testing schedule updated

A track has been replaced on the upcoming testing schedule and new testing dates have also been added

For 2022, a new era of NASCAR is born. The Next Gen car is set to dramatically change the product on the track and the culture at the shop.

The car is a spec chassis. The days of chassis development are gone which is expected to drastically reduce ownership costs.

Additionally, as seen from previous tests, it’s expected to narrow the gaps between large and small teams, allowing smaller teams to be far more competitive.

A new test has been added. NASCAR will return to the Charlotte Motor Speedway oval on December 15th. Data will be analyzed on the 16th and they’ll return to the same track for another test on the 17th.

Originally, NASCAR had a scheduled test on January 25-26 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Those testing dates have been moved to Phoenix Raceway.

The most recent NASCAR Next Gen test took place at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Nov 17-18th.
