Throughout F1 history, Ferrari will always be known as a team associated with glory and success. However, the last few years of this decade have seen something different from the iconic team, indeed far from their days with Michael Schumacher.

Mercedes continues to showcase their dominance this decade and up to this season. Even with a rampaging Red Bull team and Max Verstappen this year, Mercedes manages to hold a 5-point lead in the constructor standings. Ferrari boss Mattia Binotto shares a brutal comment on his team this season.

“What we had to learn we have learned,” said the F1 boss, quoted by Italy's Corriere dello Sport.

“We’re no longer developing anything and it’s inevitable that we’re scrambling to open a different chapter with a new car.

“I’ll say it sincerely: we can’t take it any more. We can’t wait for this season to end.”

Although Ferrari is ahead of McLaren for a P3 finish this season, Binotto still isn't satisfied with the team's form.

“We never really developed the current car,” he said. “We introduced a couple of developments at the very start of the season and that's it.

The last time Ferrari won an F1 constructors title was in 2008. After so long, will we finally see this team achieve glory next season?
