Patrick Mahomes kicked off his bye week with a night out with his future wife.
Days after defeating the Cowboys, 19-9, the Chiefs quarterback and fiancée Brittany Matthews stepped out Tuesday for a dinner together.
“Date night @patrickmahomes,” Matthews captioned the post on her Instagram Story.
In a separate photo, Matthews is seen holding up a wine glass as she sits across from Mahomes at the table.
The high school sweethearts, both 26, announced their engagement in September 2020. They welcomed daughter Sterling Skye this past February.
Mahomes, who is in his fifth year with the Chiefs, struggled earlier this season but has since returned to his MVP-like form following a monster outing against the Raiders. In Kansas City’s Week 10 win over Las Vegas, Mahomes threw five touchdowns for 406 yards.
The Chiefs (7-4) will next play the Broncos (5-5) on Sunday, Dec. 5.
Although the couple is only a few short days into their bye week, they had an eventful night Monday for the second annual 15 and the Mahomes Foundation Gala. The foundation itself is “dedicated to improving the lives of children by supporting initiatives that focus on education, health, wellness and communities in need of resources,” according to its Instagram page.
Mahomes later thanked those who helped make the memorable evening possible.
“With your support, we are making a real impact in our community,” he said Wednesday on Instagram.
