The next generation of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers will be coming to Netflix. Revealed by Jonathan Entwistle, Hasbro’s split from Toei and acquisition of Entertainment One will now usher in a new “Power Rangers Cinematic Universe” — connecting the numerous seasons of television shows and movie iterations.

Michael Lombardo, President of Global Television at EOne, revealed to Deadline, “Since we set up Power Rangers with Jonathan, we pitched really a whole-world approach. It’s not just one show, it is shows followed by films, some kids’ programming. We have found a great writing partner for him, they are off. Knock on wood, Netflix is excited, we’re excited, we hope to have some news soon.”

Netflix has been on a roll in creating new spins on classic nostalgic kids’ shows. As a show that has entertained an entire generation in the ’90s, Entertainment One and Hasbro’s joining with the streaming giant is the right step in making sure future viewers experience the same high level of excitement from the live-action superhero franchise.

In other entertainment news, Zoë Kravitz calls Robert Pattinson’s Batman transformation “Out of This World.”
