Toby Faroe has issued a dark warning over Nate Denby's discovery in Hollyoaks.

The Faroes have discovered the undercover cop is onto them over Lisa Loveday's murder, following Celeste's notebook going missing after she'd used it to forge postcards from Lisa.

Grace Black also knows about Nate's investigation, as he has drafted her into his plans to bring down the Deverauxs by learning more about them during Felix and Martine's wedding.

The big day arrived in Wednesday's (November 24) first-look episode, with Nate having to cajole his way into getting an invite after having a row with Grace about using her for the plot.

The wedding ultimately went off without much of a hitch, until Scott Drinkwell got drunk at the reception and blabbed to everyone about Felix previously dating both Lisa and Grace.

Nate confronted Grace outside the reception for never telling about her past with Felix, and when she stormed off, it was revealed Celeste and Toby had been watching him.

"Are you sure?" Toby asked, with Celeste adding: "I told you. He stole my notebook."

After taking a beat, Toby warned: "Then we'll have to take care of him. There's no way I'm letting anything break up this family again."

Viewers shouldn't be so sure about the Faroes getting the jump on Nate, as Chris Charles recently hinted to Inside Soap that his character is willing to go quite far to prove his case.

"As passionate as Nate is, he's a man of integrity. We've seen that he keeps himself in good shape, and he can handle himself, so he'll certainly defend himself, so he'll certainly defend himself and those around him if he needs to," he said.

"But violence is the last possible option for him. He'll pursue the truth to the ends of the earth and he's very determined – but he'll keep it in the parameters of the law. Having said that, Nate and the Deveraux family are definitely on a collision course."
