Dwyane Wade won no less than two NBA tiles alongside LeBron James and Chris Bosh during the Miami Heat Big 3 era. It was without a doubt one of the most historic periods in franchise history.

As it turns out, however, Wade never really enjoyed those title runs. The Heat legend recently admitted that the process of chasing championships with LeBron pretty much sucked the fun out of the game of basketball for him:

“I also could look at those championship years, and I can look at the journey and say, ‘That shit wasn't fun,'” Wade told Scott Davis of Insider.

“It's not fun trying to accomplish something so great that everybody's trying to stop you from having it. That's not fun. So as much as a lot of moments were so fun, it was a lot of moments that was work, and it was a job, and it was tough mentally and physically.”

It's easy to misconstrue Wade's message here. It's not that he does not appreciate playing alongside one of the greatest ever in LeBron James. After all, these two are real-life BFF's and being teammates with one of your closest friends is definitely a privilege.

All Wade is trying to say here is that the grind got to him. The Heat were public enemy no. 1 at that time and they had a target on their back every single night. Every team in the league came at them with their best shot and all this apparently got into D-Wade's head (and his body too, most likely).

According to the Heat icon, it was his earlier years that he considers being the most enjoyable part of his career:

“I had fun when I had legs,” Wade said. “Like, when I was jumping up and just dunking on people and on ESPN every night, that was fun. You know, being youthful and being young and being able to grab the ball to take off from anywhere. That was fun.”

We definitely enjoyed those years, too and we're not going to forget about Wade's high-flying antics anytime soon. Dwyane Wade is a true Miami Heat legend in every sense of the word.
