Todd Snyder & New Balance’s Latest Collab Was Inspired by NYC’s Skyline

It’s funny to think Todd Snyder’s eponymous brand has only been in the fashion world for a mere ten years considering how quickly it rose to prominence. Nevertheless, a humble tenure doesn’t mean there’s no need to celebrate. Doing just that, in yet another modish collaboration with New Balance, the New York-bred fashion brand pays respect to the city that made it with a new pair of NB992s.

Once the favorite sneaker of tech genius and dad fashion icon Steve Jobs, the shoe has been revamped to entirely new levels of texture, boasting a breathable fusion of mesh and smooth, gray vegetable-tanned leather. Met with sporadic hints of orange, the two colors come together to resemble the New York City skyline and surely manage to do so even more on one of the Big Apple’s cloudier days. Equipped with a trio of lace options, the shades of gray this pair has to offer are truly endless. After all, because this is an anniversary celebration, the subtle set of kicks are finished off with markings of 2011 and 2021 on each shoe’s respective heel, providing proof that an homage to the New York brand could not be paid more properly than with these brands’ latest joint effort.

Available starting December 1st, the Todd Snyder x New Balance NB992 10th Anniversary will be sold exclusively through Todd Snyder’s online retailer.
