A Lubbock man was injured after he was struck by a pickup truck on Monday, November 22nd.

KAMC News reports that Lubbock Police responded to the 9400 block of 19th Street at around 6:45 p.m. after reports of a robbery. The victim of the robbery said that he was using the address, an empty field with a shed, to store firewood that intended to sell at some later point.

That victim arrived and happened to find 2 suspects loading the firewood into a trailer.

The victim told the suspects to unload the firewood, but the were said to have ignored him. The victim then pulled out his phone to take a picture of the license plate on the trailer, and the suspects responded by getting into the truck and driving towards the victim.

The victim was able to jump out of the way, but he was still struck before the suspects drove northbound towards the 1800 block of Research Avenue. Officers were even shown a post on Facebook Marketplace for firewood that the victim said was cut the same way he cut firewood.

The identities of the suspects is currently unknown to the public, and police have not yet announced if there have been any arrests in relation to this case.
