Holby City's latest episode managed to mix up several actors and their characters in the closing credits.

Shown in the screenshot below, Louis McGerry's Tyler Luke Cunningham is down as playing Jac Naylor, while Jac Naylor actress Rosie Marcel is listed as a character played by Amy Murphy (when Murphy is also listed elsewhere in the shot, correctly credited for playing Kylie Maddon).

"Whoops! Someone messed up the credits on #HolbyCity," pointed out one eagle-eyed fan on Twitter.

Back in October, a shock announcement was released confirming the medical soap's cancellation by the BBC – concluding in March 2022.

Addressing this decision, BBC drama's commissioning controller Piers Wenger told Digital Spy and other press in a statement: "It was an incredibly difficult decision.

"But you know, when [Director-General of the BBC] Tim Davie gave us some very clear direction on wanting to make more drama across the UK, and we knew we had EastEnders, Holby and Casualty – all of which are based in the South, albeit Casualty in Wales – we knew we needed to better reflect life across the whole of England, which is why we've chosen to bring back Waterloo Road."

The announcement itself read: "We are so very grateful to all of Holby's wonderful cast, crew, writers, producers – and to our millions of loyal viewers and fans for being part of our show.

"This tough decision reflects the BBC's commitment to make more programmes across the UK and to better reflect, represent and serve all parts of the country.

"We promise that Holby will get the send-off it deserves. Thank you for your continued support and love for the series."

Holby City airs on Tuesdays on BBC One.
