Venom 2 spoilers follow.
Stephen Graham, who appears in Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage, has addressed his future in the Venom series.
The actor plays Patrick Mulligan, a detective on the trail of Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson), and the ending of Venom 2 teases that Mulligan will have been infected by a Venom symbiote and turning into Toxin, a character comic book fans will be aware of.
In an interview with Collider, Graham said that his character becoming Toxin could happen, even though it hasn't been confirmed. "There's a possibility that may be explored in the future," he said.

He added that there are deleted scenes, "something that was chopped, which wasn't used," which could be seen in future Venom material "if they decide to bring [Mulligan] into the future".
Venom: Let There Be Carnage's ending perfectly set up a third film in the franchise, with Sony and Marvel already discussing a potential crossover between Tom Holland's Spider-Man and Venom, and if they decide to the follow the comics, Graham might become a tragic hero lost to the dark side as Toxin.
Sadly, we don't know much about Graham's future in the franchise, or about Venom's future at all, at the moment. It's very much a 'wait-and-see' game in terms of whether fellow Venom actors, writers or execs will be dropping any more hints for us soon.

Graham noted to Collider that he wasn't aware of Mulligan's future in the comics until after getting the call for the role, when his son explained everything to him.
He said: "He went, 'Dad, do you understand? He becomes Toxin.' And then he explained the whole thing, how he's the spawn of Carnage and Venom."
"If it is [explored in the future], that'd be wonderful. It was a lot of fun and I had a great time shooting," Graham added.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage is out now in the UK and the US.
