Cavs vs. Suns: Live updates as Cavs try and end losing streak, Phoenix tries to extend win streak

Ricky Rubio and the Cavaliers will look to end a four-game losing streak on Wednesday.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Cavaliers are looking to end a four-game losing streak, but it will be easier said than done when they host the red-hot Phoenix Suns tonight. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. EDT.

The Suns (14-3) have won 13 straight thanks to a 115-111 victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Monday. With a win against the Cavs on Wednesday, Phoenix could match the franchise’s third-longest winning streak. The franchise record is 17 consecutive victories, set in the 2006-07 season.

Devin Booker scored 23 points against the Spurs. DeAndre Ayton collected his sixth double-double in the past eight games with 21 points and 14 rebounds.

The Cavs, meanwhile, are on a season-worst four-game skid.

Darius Garland scored 24 points in a 117-112 loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Monday. Cleveland (9-9) did get big nights from two key returning pieces in that game, however. Lauri Markkanen scored 22 points and grabbed eight rebounds in his return from a nine-game absence due to COVID-19. Allen added 20 and 15, respectively, in his return from a three-game absence due to a non-COVID-related illness.
