Cryptera, a Denmark based security and payment technology provider, has secured international Payment Card Industry certification for its full range of CryptoTouch PIN on Glass portfolio, according to a press release.

The PCI 5.x approval covers 12 different touchscreen sizes ranging from 5 inches to 27 inches. The technology allows for secure PIN entry on a touchscreen and can be used in various transaction and payment environments such as ATMs, financial kiosks, petrol forecourt payment, parking, ticketing and quick-service restaurants.

The solution is approved for both online and offline transactions and can be combined with a secure card reader and an NFC reader for contactless transactions. All modules hold PCI 5.x certification, and both card readers are EMV approved and hold international card scheme approvals.

"We are working on a number of CryptoTouch projects targeting next generation payment solutions for both the ATM industry and unattended payment," Stig Gudmundsen, Cryptera director of sales and marketing, said in the press release.
