Olivia Rodrigo 'beyond humbled' by her seven Grammy nominations

This time last year, Olivia Rodrigo's shine was still confined to her role of Nini on High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.

Now, the 18-year-old is a seven-time Grammy nominee.

The Recording Academy unveiled its nominations for the 64th Grammy Awards on Tuesday morning, and Rodrigo is tied with Billie Eilish as the third-most nominated artist behind Jon Batiste's leading 11 nominations as well as Justin Bieber, Doja Cat and H.E.R. with eight nods each.

Rodrigo reacted to the honor with an emotional Instagram post, describing what the Grammys have meant to her in her childhood:

Rodrigo immediately proved to be the face of pop's next generation when she released her debut single "Drivers License" on Jan. 8, 2021, debuting at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart and enjoying a record-breaking run at the top spot.

Rodrigo dropped SOUR, her debut album, in May. The project's 11 tracks continued infiltrating the Hot 100, including another No. 1 with "Good 4 U."

Rodrigo is fresh off winning New Artist of the Year at last Sunday's American Music Awards.

At January's ceremony, Rodrigo will be up for Album of the Year (SOUR), Best New Artist, Best Music Video ("Good 4 U"), Best Pop Solo Performance ("Drivers License"), Best Pop Vocal Album (SOUR), Record of the Year ("Drivers License") and Song of the Year ("Drivers License").

The 64th Grammy Awards are scheduled to broadcast live from the Staples Center (changing to Crypto.com Arena as of Christmas Day) in Los Angeles on Jan. 31, 2022, beginning at 8 p.m. EST.
