Marvel Studios is considering Keanu Reeves, and has been discussed for several roles for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
It’s unknown how many characters Marvel Studios considers for Keanu Reeves.
One of them went public.
Keanu Reeves passed on Yon-Rogg for Captain Marvel.
Alas, it was due to a scheduling conflict with John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.
Jude Law played Yon-Rogg instead.
Granted, Yon-Rogg seems too obscure for Keanu Reeves’ box-office power.
Moreover, Yon-Rogg is a villain.
In addition, Keanu Reeves would be a supporting actor to lead Brie Larson.
Neither Marvel Studios nor Keanu Reeves confirmed this.
For those reasons, it’s questionable.
Would Marvel Studios have Keanu Reeves play a bad guy?
For just one movie?
After all, Keanu Reeves as an MCU superhero would devastate the box office.

Ghost Rider
We’ve discussed Ghost Rider for a while now.
Ghost Rider has been one of the characters that Keanu Reeves was considered for.
With Keanu Reeves’ love of bikes, it would have been a good fit, too.
However, we reported that Norman Reedus is in talks for Ghost Rider.
Certainly, you can’t deny that Walking Dead fans have been wanting Reedus as Ghost Rider.
Nevertheless, he hasn’t signed yet.
Consequently, the role is still up in the air.
Therefore, it’s still possible for Reeves to be Ghost Rider.

The Sentry
The Sentry is another character that Keanu Reeves was discussed for.
Robert Reynolds, also known as the Sentry, is a superhero with the “power of one million exploding suns.”
Furthermore, The Sentry is among the most powerful in the Marvel Universe.
At the same time, he’s the most dangerous because of his arch enemy, the Void.
The Void is a different entity, but also a part of the Sentry.
The Void only exists because of the memories of The Sentry.
Personally, this is a fascinating character to explore.
Reeves’ age actually matches.
First, his story can be isolated.
That can be convenient for Keanu Reeves if he wanted it that way.
Also, the story against the Void doesn’t really need to span several movies.
Henry Cavill has been fan cast as the Sentry.
They see the Sentry as Marvel’s Superman.
Nonetheless, Marvel Studios doesn’t let that affect their decisions.

Corsair
Corsair is the father of Cyclops and Havok from the X-Men.
To my knowledge, there isn’t active development for the Starjammers. Yet.
At the same time, the Starjammers will fill the void Guardians of the Galaxy leaves once James Gunn’s done.
This swashbuckling science-fiction team is bound for the MCU.
I hear Keanu Reeves has potential for Corsair.

Keanu Reeves has been in almost every genre.
He starred in serious dramas.
He found tremendous success with the Bill and Ted trilogy.
The first pic, Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure (1989), was so popular I think he had to say “whoa?!” for each movie he made after that.
He’s tried romance in Lake House (2006).
Devil’s Advocate (1997) and Constantine (2005) were horror.
Constantine was also based on a DC comic.
Of Keanu Reeves’ filmography, the one that really stood out for him was The Matrix (1999).
It even spawned three additional films.
His John Wick (2014) turned into a massive franchise.
Recently, he’s also been diving into acting in video games with Cyberpunk 2077.

Geek
Keanu Reeves is a huge comic-book fan.
Besides wanting to become a comic-book hero, he’s writing one: BRZRKR.
The first issue recently came out in March 2021 under Boom Studios.
Netflix already optioned it for a live-action movie; Keanu Reeves will star.
Esquire interviewed Reeves about Marvel Studios.
They asked him about joining the MCU.
He answered:
It would be an honor. There’s some really amazing directors and visionaries, and they’re doing something that no one’s really ever done. It’s special in that sense, in terms of the scale, the ambition, the production. So it would be cool to be a part of that.
In 2019, Kevin Feige revealed that he’s been in communication with Reeves for a number of films already. Feige said:
We talk to him for almost every film we make. We talk to Keanu Reeves about. I don’t know when, if, or ever he’ll join the MCU, but we very much want to figure out the right way to do it.

Schedule?
With so much on his plate, does he have time to join the MCU?
Keanu Reeves hasn’t slowed his acting career down even with so much work he has put into.
He has been Marvel Studios’ target for some time now.
While there’s no assurance that he’ll take any of these roles, we’re confident he’ll find one.
