A.J. Brown injury updates: The latest on Titans WR's Week 12 status

Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown was on his way to having a good game in Week 11 versus the Houston Texans before leaving early due to a chest injury.

It was the second ailment Brown suffered during the losing effort that saw him finish with five catches for 48 yards. He also left the game briefly due to a hand injury suffered in the first quarter.

No team in the NFL has been plagued by injuries like the Titans have, and Brown hasn’t been immune to that, as he’s played through multiple issues. However, he has only missed one game up until this point.

With head coach Mike Vrabel never giving out information on injured players, we’ll have to wait and see how things transpire with Brown at practice this week in order to get updates.

Keep it locked into this tracker right here, as we provide all of the latest updates on Brown’s status below.

Nov. 27: Brown placed on IR

Well, the worst has happened, as Brown has been placed on IR due to his chest injury. He will be forced to miss at least the next three games, so the earliest he can return is on Dec. 23 against the San Francisco 49ers.

Nov. 27: Brown considered week-to-week

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler (H/T Kayla Anderson, WKRN), Brown, who has been ruled out for Week 12, is considered week-to-week. Fowler also notes the injury was just too painful for Brown to play through on Sunday.

We’re off to a bad start this week, as Brown did not participate in practice on Wednesday. The Titans will have off on Thursday before returning to practice on Friday. We’ll know more then.

Nov. 24: Brown not spotted at practice

Beat writers on the ground did not see Brown at the open portion of practice. We’ll see how he’s officially listed when the injury report comes out later today.

Nov. 22: Brown's chest X-ray comes back negative

Brown got good news on his initial chest X-ray, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, but with more tests set to be done, he isn’t out of the woods yet. We’ll see what his practice participation looks like on Wednesday.
