Chelsea Considering A 'Monster Bid' For Thomas Tuchel's Top Target

Chelsea Considering A 'Monster Bid' For Thomas Tuchel's Top Target

Tuchel is targeting the Premier League, having already won the Champions League, and one huge transfer would make them even better.

Chelsea look an extremely dangerous side this season but they could become unstoppable with Thomas Tuchel's side eyeing a 'monster bid' for the manager's top target.

The Blues gave Juventus a rollocking on Tuesday night, beating the Serie A giants 4-0, and handing them their biggest Champions League loss, thanks in part to Reece James brilliant strike.

Tuchel's team are one of the favourites to retain their European title and they're also flying high in the Premier League, leading the title race from Manchester City and Liverpool.

The strength in depth is particularly impressive, with results having not wavered despite recent injuries to Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner.

Rivals could have to contend with an even scarier frontline for the Stamford Bridge side. According to Calciomercato, Chelsea are hoping to add Juventus forward Federico Chiesa to their squad, with the club ready to green light a huge move for him.

Chiesa was one of the stars of Italy's Euro 2020 win, winning two man of the match performances and being named in the Team of the Tournament.

His form attracted the interest of Chelsea and Liverpool in the summer, with both clubs reportedly having bids of over £80 million turned down.

The report claims that Roman Abramovich is ready to green light another attempt for the 24-year-old, despite signing Lukaku for £97.5 million in the summer.

Chiesa is technically still on loan at Juve from Fiorentina, having joined on a two year temporary deal at the start of last season, but the Old Lady have an obligation to buy.

Max Allegri's side have to hand over €40 million for the forward next summer but Chelsea's interest could mean they double their money instantly.

The forward isn't necessarily a prolific scorer for his club side but he would add an extra dimension of skill and pace to Chelsea's forward line.

Chiesa isn't the only young talent that the Blues have an interest in, with reports that the Premier League leaders are ready to make a move for Barcelona youngster Gavi.

The 17-year-old is already impressing for the Spanish giants and Abramovich is reported to be a big fan of the player and willing to spend up to £50 million for the teenager.
