F1 star Max Verstappen shares his ultimate goal for his career amid his intense title race with Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton.

Sporting a narrow 8-point lead, Verstappen might have left the door open for seven-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton, after the latter won the last two races in Brazil and Qatar, respectively. The 24-year old entered F1 back when he was just 17 years old, marking the youngest ever competitor in the sport's history.

Although his career is relatively young, Verstappen reveals what would be his most outstanding achievement.

“It then doesn’t really matter anymore how many you win because you’ve already won one,” Verstappen told the Chequered Flag podcast.

“Of course, I would always try to win more, but that’s done, that’s the final goal, and will, of course, work very hard to try and achieve that, and after that, there’s a lot less pressure.”

Many drivers in today's grid, aside from Hamilton, have won titles. There's Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso, and Kimi Raikkonen— proving that these greats have had their glory at some point. However, just like any other sport, some all-time greats and legends may fail to bag a single title throughout their careers, which can serve as something that taints their legacy—something Verstappen should be avoiding.

With just two races to go and Verstappen boasting an 8-point lead, will he garner his first F1 title this early in his career? Or will he have to wait for another shot at the sport's peak?
